The Location
Dalriada (pronounced: *dael’riada*) is a cedarwood chalet nestled between the villages of Lochgoilhead and Carrick Castle on the west side of Loch Goil. This much-loved hideaway is perfect for anyone seeking a peaceful cabin-in-the-woods style escape right on the loch shore, within the Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park.
Shared with one neighbouring property (rarely occupied), Dalriada places you directly on the banks of this scenic tidal sea loch. Bring binoculars—seals, gannets, and porpoises are regular visitors, and the birdlife is superb year-round.
The Property
Dalriada is modest and simple but full of charm. This is a place to unplug, watch the water, and reset. The furnishings and fittings reflect its relaxed chalet character—functional and comfortable. A wood-burning stove and loch-facing picture windows make it ideal for cosy evenings with nature on your doorstep.
Outside, there’s an enclosed balcony/patio with seating for two and space for a dog. Bird feeders hang nearby for watching feathered visitors from the comfort of the lounge. This is slow living, west coast style.
A no-fuss, no-signal escape on the edge of the loch – perfect for wildlife lovers and those needing a proper reset.

Important – Water Supply
The water is sourced directly from the hills and is **not** suitable for drinking. The owner provides 8 litres of bottled water to get you started. Please top up at Costcutter (3 miles) as needed.
