“Caters for all ages & interests”
Excellent location with the combination of remote tranquil walks and wilderness to busy pubs and activities. My elderly father enjoyed watching the wildlife and beautiful scenery. Both my children had a fun packed week; swimming in the near by leisure centre, walking, boating and exploring. The cottage is very well equipped and lacked nothing. I would advise you to take food, however the local shop has emergency supplies it is limited. There is an Asda 30mins drive away - amazing drive though!!

“Quiet and peaceful with lovely views”
Lovely house fully equipped with all the essentials apart from the dryer which unfortunately wasn’t working. Nice comfy beds and all mod cons. The garden/decking could be improved on if one were intending to stay around the area a lot. Nice couple of pubs to visit and eat at locally. Beautiful scenery down by the Loch although watch out for the midges this time of year ! Would definitely recommend for a nice relaxing break.

“Fantastic Cottage”
Stayed here for 3 nights at the end of May 2015.
Cottage is lovely and there was plenty of space for 4 adults, in fact there is room for 7 people!
The cottage was spotless and arrival instructions as described - very easy!
Inside the place is just wonderful. Its actually better than the pictures on Tripadvisor as they have purchased a new table and chairs and new sofas. The kitchen is plenty big enough and we had enough equipment things to cook dinner for two nights and a Sunday roast!
The village is lovely and its just a short walk to the local pub and post office. There is a pub at the entrance of the village called The Shore Inn which is very nice and the owners chatty and welcoming. The post office has enough items in case you forget something or alternatively there is a spa shop less than 5 minutes drive selling bits and bobs.
There is also a nice park at the back of the cottage where we went for a walk and saw red squirrels and other wildlife. If you follow it up, it takes you to the river at the top of Donich Park and you can walk easily back down to the cottage.
If you are looking to stay in Lochgoilhead this is the ideal place! Personally I wouldn't fancy some of the holiday parks across the other side of the loch when you can have this cosy house all to yourself on a quiet street :)

“Excellent”
Reasonably priced, well maintained, great customer service, Ideal if you are travelling with family

"Very pleasant stay with dog"
Reservation and payment were uncomplicated, the landlord answered fast and accomodating. We could likewise accommodate our educated dog without editions or extra costs. Thick plus! The house is appropriate in a calm side street almost on height hole of the Goil with view of the terrace in the Greens. The “input” to the Argyll Forest park is around the corner. Top! Is recommendable to complete the week purchase during the journey in a larger city such as Helensburgh since in Lochgoilhead the possibilities substantial are reduced. One looks a supermarket up in closer environment Donich Cottage is complete and after middle standard created. However we, in particular in rain weather, missed a tidy floor mat in the input area as well as a clothes configuration in the corridor. Also in the rooms one must concerning clothe file which to be broken in be able. Otherwise however the domicile is very recommendable and serves as comfortable starting point for wonderful days in a singular nature backdrop.

"Lovely cottage in a lovely spot"
I took this cottage for Christmas for my family. A really nice touch the moment we walked through the door was that a Christmas tree had been put up and there was a card and a present from the owners.
The cottage itself is very well appointed with a well equipped, up to date kitchen and nice new bathrooms. The beds are comfortable (particularly the very impressive king sized one in the master bedroom). There are comfy leather sofas in the lounge and a decent sized dining table.
There is a reasonable sized back garden with a decking area and recliners (although not very useful at this time of the year in Scotland - it would be nice in summer). There is parking off road for two large cars.
Lochgoilhead itself is an hour's drive from Glasgow but is extremely peaceful, quiet and scenic with wonderful highland scenery and great walks. The cottage itself is in a very quiet location, but is less than five minutes walk from the Goil Inn which does good food and has open fires in the winter. A little further down the road is the Shore Inn with a good restaurant overlooking the loch. Just beyond that is the Argyll Holidays park with a small supermarket (licensed), 25m pool and various other facilities (you can buy a weekly pass).
I'd highly recommend this cottage for a relaxing break in a lovely area.

“A little piece of Heaven”
2nd visit this year with this website . Shore cottage at Easter and Dorich Oct hols . Lovely cottage , really cosy and family friendly . Everything you need for a really relaxing holiday . If I had one small criticism I would up date the bedding , it was clean but needs updated . The cottage is a great base so you can tour the wonderful scenery . Definitely will return.

"Excellent house excellent view in a quiet street”
Room to park two cars then into a really well maintained house in a really quiet area of the village I would go back there again.

“Beautiful cottage, lovely views, excellent for a base.”
We stayed here for 4 nights & loved it. Cottage was so clean & well laid out. Good base for visiting argyle & Oban & Inveraray. Nice pub at bottom of hill The Goil Inn & The Shore House is only 5 mins away & really nice food but closed Mon & Tue. I would recommend this cottage to families & pet owners & nature lovers.

“Very homely cottage”
We stayed at this cottage in June 2013 with our family and were flabbergasted when we walked through the door! This cottage is gorgeous and very homely, everything you need at hand, I would recommend this cottage highly and hope to return again soon.

“Home from home”
Excellent value for money went here with some friends to show them Scotland and they were absolutely bowled over. The facilities are second to none there is everything you would need and it's decorated to a very high standard. If you plan on visiting Argyllshire then look no further.

“This is an exceptional cottage.”
Comfortable accommodation in an idealic setting.
I would recommend to everyone looking for a cottage in this area
