The property

Bowter Cottage sits at the end of a private driveway, giving it that tucked-away feeling. The cottage has its own entrance leading into a small hallway and then into a modern kitchen. It has all the crockery and equipment you will need for a self-catering holiday. The lounge has floor to ceiling windows to make the most of the view while giving it an open and bright feeling. The French doors open up onto a patio seating area with patio furniture. You can relax and watch the boats on the loch, as well as the gannets, eider ducks and other bird life.  Central heating is by a gas combi-boiler with instant and unlimited hot water. The cottage is cosy and warm for winter breaks. Unbeatable value for money.

Privacy: Bowater Cottage is built adjacent to Bowater House. Privacy is assured and will be respected. If you need anything during your stay you are welcome to call on the owners, but otherwise you will be left to enjoy the peace and quiet of this special place.

“Just what I needed.”
The cottage was amazing, spotlessly clean, warm when I arrived and very inviting in general. It had everything that was needed. This was my first visit, but not my last. I feel recharged!

“Peaceful and lovely host”
Nice clean quiet but close enough to the village I would recommend this a pet friendly rent very nice view onto Loch Goil good area for staying as plenty of bigger towns nearby.

“Bowater Cottage is lovely”
We stay in self catering cottages at least twice a year and on that basis can assess good and bad accommodation. Bowater Cottage rates high in our assessment. The cottage is bright, clean and very comfortable. Everything you need is provided including an old fashioned tumble dryer........better known as a pulley!!! The views from the cottage are amazing, it's a great location. Our old dog just loved wandering around in safety as the cottage is located at the end of a drive with no traffic. We were lucky to have good weather for a few days and could utilise the comfy outdoor chairs, we even managed to use the sun umbrella!! Len and Fiona the owners could not have been more helpful. We are in the process of arranging another visit maybe two before the end of the year......we really can't wait to stay there again more

“Perfect Hideaway!”
My husband and I have just returned from 4 days away with our dog to this perfect little cottage. In a stunning location, hidden away, is this little gem. The beautiful one bedroom cottage is attached to the big house but we were left to our own devices so we could come and go as we pleased. The house is immaculate and has all the facilities for a break away. We loved the peacefulness and the views over the loch and mountain beyond were truly awe inspiring. With plenty of places to walk our dog, we couldn't have been happier. The cost for our 4 days was very reasonable and well worth the money. I would highly recommend this holiday let. If you're looking for peace and tranquility then you'll find it here in spades! A mention must go to the owner Leonard Gow who is just lovely and couldn't be more helpful! We will most definitely be back!! more
